Julian has been the head of Dufry since 2004, the world’s leading global travel retailer. Julian leads a team of nearly 20,000 employees who serve travelers on five continents with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. The company’s history goes back 150 years to its foundation in 1865. Julian has some 25 years of senior management experience in the duty-free sector.
Joe was named President & Chief Executive Officer of Hudson Group in April 2008. He also serves as Chief Operating Officer of Dufry AG’s Region Four (US and Canada). He joined the company in 1992 as Retail Operations Manager in the company’s LaGuardia Airport location.
Mario joined Hudson News in 1982, with over 20 prior years of retail management experience. He is responsible for creating Hudson Group, including the flagship Hudson News concept. His early career included accounting for a large supermarket chain. When he met Robert Cohen, owner of a magazine wholesaling business called Hudson News Distribution, they together decided to get involved in the retail business, notably newsstands in New York area rail terminals.
Roger joined Hudson Group in 1988 as General Manager of the company’s LaGuardia Airport operations. He was soon overseeing operations in Penn Station and Grand Central Station as well. In 1992, he was named Vice President, Operations. He became Senior Vice President, Operations in 1996, and was named to his current post in 2008. Here he is responsible for half of the company’s US and Canadian retail operations.
Hope joined Hudson Group in 1992 as Director of Sales & Marketing. She was promoted to Vice President, Sales & Marketing in 1995 and was named to her current position in 2000. Her main responsibility is to create a revenue stream through the development of strong promotional programs for airlines, publishers and others via print and electronic advertising and display programs throughout Hudson’s stores.
Brian joined Hudson Group in 1991 as General Manager of its LaGuardia Airport operations. Following the merger between Hudson Group and Dufry, he served as EVP of International Operations, during which time he oversaw the rollout of the Hudson News brand outside of North America. Renamed EVP and COO in 2011, he now oversees both domestic and international operations.
Mike joined Hudson Group in 2004 as Senior Vice President, Business Development. He was promoted to his current position in 2008. In this role, he leads the company’s development, governmental affairs, business alliance and communications functions. Mike spent the previous 20 years in the public and private sectors of airport concession, airport management and aviation consultation.
Mike joined Hudson/Dufry in 2011 to oversee the company’s duty free operations in Chicago, Seattle, Houston, Newark, and Edmonton, and now through the acquisition of the Nuance Group, another five markets. Mike has over 25 years of experience in the retail industry managing, operating and merchandising stores and brands like Polo Ralph Lauren, Brooks Brothers and Macy’s.
Brad joined Hudson in 2010. His experience is in the design and construction of retail environments for diverse consumer brands around the world. He is a cross-functional collaborative leader designing best branded, consumer engaging and operationally efficient stores and shop-in-shops, with a focus on return on investment and value engineering.
Adrian joined Dufry in 2005, gaining experience in the Finance, Mergers & Acquisitions and Treasury functions before being named Global Head of Investment Control, Mergers & Acquisitions for Dufry in Basel. Shortly thereafter, Adrian was named CFO of Hudson Group, Region 4, based in East Rutherford, NJ, USA.
Mike joined Hudson Group in 2008 to lead the company’s merchandising initiatives. He is a career retail executive with strong systems skills. He is a veteran of 16 years with such premier retail icons as Saks Fifth Avenue, Brooks Brothers, Polo Ralph Lauren and Saks Fifth Avenue.
Jay received his law degree from NYU and spent the first 30 years of his career in private practice. He joined Hudson Group as General Counsel in 1999.
Gary joined Hudson Group in 2005. For the past 10 years, he has overseen the company’s Information Technology functions, including planning, resources, procurement, development, data/voice communications, compliance, technology-based initiatives and operational support. His previous experience consisted of 32 years of professional achievement in the field of Information Technology and Management Information Systems within the retail sector.
