OUR Leadership

Many of our leaders and decision makers have been with the company from the beginning, when our founder, Mario DiDomizio, opened the first Hudson News store in New York’s LaGuardia Airport in 1987. Others joined Hudson in 2003, following the acquisition of the North American airport operations of WH Smith. More recently have come the duty free experts from Dufry and Nuance. Taken together, they represent hundreds of years’ experience in travel retail.

Julian has been the head of Dufry since 2004, the world’s leading global travel retailer. Julian leads a team of nearly 20,000 employees who serve travelers on five continents with a strong focus on customer satisfaction. The company’s history goes back 150 years to its foundation in 1865. Julian has some 25 years of senior management experience in the duty-free sector.

Joe was named President & Chief Executive Officer of Hudson Group in April 2008. He also serves as Chief Operating Officer of Dufry AG’s Region Four (US and Canada). He joined the company in 1992 as Retail Operations Manager in the company’s LaGuardia Airport location.

Mario joined Hudson News in 1982, with over 20 prior years of retail management experience. He is responsible for creating Hudson Group, including the flagship Hudson News concept. His early career included accounting for a large supermarket chain. When he met Robert Cohen, owner of a magazine wholesaling business called Hudson News Distribution, they together decided to get involved in the retail business, notably newsstands in New York area rail terminals.

Chuck has been in the travel retail industry for 28 years, joining Hudson in 1995, and previously with WH Smith, Faber, and Benjamin. In 2014, he was named to his current role.

Bob has over 20 years of travel retail management experience. He joined Hudson Group in 1992 in Newark Airport and was appointed to Regional Vice President in 2000.

Doug Martino

Doug has more than 35 years of travel retail experience. He was instrumental in establishing Hudson Group's world class airport and transit operations throughout the Northeast and Canada.

Laura joined as VP, Business Development in 2008, She spent the previous 10 years in business development roles with other companies in the travel retail field.

Richard Green

Richard Green

Senior Counsel

Richard joined Hudson Group as Senior Counsel in June 2013, to assist with Hudson legal issues, including the draft of leases, concession agreements, licenses and partnership agreements.

Cubie is responsible for Business Development initiatives for airports and transit centers in NYC, Pittsburgh, Cleveland and Washington, D.C.

Mario has worked in travel retail since 1982. He joined Hudson Group in 2004 as VP, Operations at JFK. He has served as SVP of Operations since 2008.

Steve Goulbourne has more than 15 years experience in advertising, design and digital media. He has worked for Y&R, McCann-Erickson, Via and Starwood Hotels. He joined Hudson Group in 2011.

Tom joined Hudson Group in 2000. He is responsible for the executive management of the company's food & beverage operations throughout North America.

Bill joined Hudson Group in 1995 as Director of Finance for Hudson News Distribution Company. Bill's previous experience consisted of 10 years of professional financial management.

Mark joined Hudson Group in 2001 with over 10 prior years of store systems experience in the retail industry. He was promoted to his current role in 2011.

Mike began his career as a store manager at LAX in 1979. He has over 30 years experience in the travel retail industry working for national and international companies.

Rick Yockelson joined Hudson Group in 2005. He is responsible for the strategic planning and administration of the company's Human Resources and Payroll functions.

Mike has worked in retail for over 25 years. He began his career with Kmart in 1981 and was promoted to store manager after 5 years.

Evan has over 20 years of business experience, with special insight into brand management, team building, specialty and travel retail and food service. He joined Hudson in 2005.

Courtney joined Hudson Group in 2014. She is responsible for managing diversity at Hudson locations providing guidance for the company in the area of ACDBE regulations.

Bobby Watson

Bobby is a seasoned political lobbyist and Public Relations specialist who joined Hudson Group in 2007. Formerly, he was SVP at the Dutko Group, an international pr firm.

Mark has served the travel retail industry for over 40 years. He joined Hudson Group in 2014, and has responsibility for building Hudson's business relationships in both new and existing markets.

ACDBE Partners

Hudson Group proudly partners with Disadvantaged Business Enterprises (DBEs) to bring diversity, local business participation and unique local character to airport concession programs. Men and women from a variety of backgrounds are included in these ranks. Hudson currently has dozens of DBE contracts at the majority of the airports we serve across North America. The rigorous selection process helps to ensure acceptance of these candidates by local airport authorities, which have final approval over contracts.
