Hudson Shows Team Spirit for Alabama/Clemson National Championship Game

Hudson employees at Birmingham-Shuttlesworth International Airport (BHM) and Charleston International Airport (CHS) showcased their team spirit for the Alabama/Clemson National Championship game.

Staff at BHM treated customers to a “cheer duet” with employees Allison Sanders, a trained Opera singer, and Kim Agee, music major. They cheered, "Roll Tide, Roll Tide..."—the rallying cry for Crimson Tide.



Customers were engaged in conversation about the game. And employees had a chance to showcase their personalities and "dress down,” wearing team shirts.

The festivities enhanced the customer experience and boosted employee morale, noted BHM General Manager Carol McElheney and CHS General Manager Renee Davis-Gatlin.

Both airports expressed their appreciation. CHS airport retweeted several pictures of Hudson employees celebrating to their over six thousand followers.

Diane Gillam, Properties and DBE Manager for Birmingham Airport Authority, commented that Hudson “did not disappoint,” helping the airport’s patrons get motivated for the game. She said that the stores were properly merchandised with a variety of Alabama offerings, staged to bring customers in, and appropriately staffed to not miss a sale.
