
In the hustle and bustle that is New York City's historic Grand Central Terminal, Hudson Group General Manager James Butt manages the Hudson News operation with the skillful support of a stellar, experienced team of managers and associates.
They are particularly adept at finding and returning the personal possessions of the thousands of harried commuters who pass through this giant transfer point twice a day, on their way to and from work in midtown Manhattan.
Notes James, "In the past year alone, we have returned passports, wallets, purses, ID's, shopping bags, cell phones, BlackBerry's, journals and more. We now achieve a 99% return on lost items. The 1% unclaimed goes to Metro North Lost and Found."
The letter from Mr. Benjamin Swan, commending two Hudson employees (Anna Drammeh and Sultana Ahmed) for returning his wallet intact, is just one of many that James receives yearly. Speaking about the incident later, Anna remarked that the gentleman offered her a reward for the wallet, but she declined, saying: "We just want you to come back."
Both Anna and Sultana were thrilled to be recognized for something they consider a "duty" to our customers. Theirs is a genuine pride and gratitude in working for Hudson Group.
