Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities:
- Identify market trends and react accordingly.
- Partner with the store managers on a daily basis.
- Shop the market for new trends and attend trade shows
- Write up purchase orders for stores.
- Strong work ethic, pay close attention to small details.
- Have strong organizational skills, and be able to act quickly to pressure.
- Tracking orders and being able to respond quickly to changes.
- Work closely with vendors for new merchandise assortments.
- Train employee’s about the concept to better assist customers.
- Develop visual presentations of new merchandise.
- Create seasonal promotions.
- Develop and execute ‘regional’ product assortment per store.
Knowledge, Skill and Ability:
- Effective communicator: verbal, written, negotiation, presentation.
- Ability to multi-task.
- Strong supervisory skills to oversee diverse operations.
- Excellent leadership skills.
Education and Experience:
- Prior related designer buying experience.
